Beth Aplin became a consultant in 1999. Before that she spent eight years working for Select Ticketing Systems (now part of Tickets.com) during which time she installed PASS1 and 2 at over 40 venues, undertook data analysis projects (including MAPEAST with Heather Maitland) was seconded to the Dutch, American and Australian offices, spoke at and managed ten conferences world-wide and finally managed 17 staff as Customer Services Manager. She has spent periods outside the arts working as a systems Project Manager and established the arts consultancy Catalyst Arts in 2000. In 2005 she left Catalyst to start a partnership with Pam Henderson (departing Director of the Arts Marketing Association). She is an Associate of the Institute of Management Consultants and vice-chair of the AMA.

Following eight years in venue management, Pam Henderson became the Director of the Arts Marketing Association (AMA). In her seven years at the AMA, she quadrupled membership and increased turnover ten-fold. She introduced a nationwide mentoring scheme, training both mentors and mentees. Pam also set up a coaching scheme for BME arts professionals through the European Social Fund. In 2005 she established a partnership with Beth Aplin. Pam is an accredited executive coach through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an experienced trainer in soft management skills. She coaches individuals, teams and organisations to help people achieve their potential. Pam is an affiliate of the CIPD and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

Associate Consultant
Heather Maitland is an arts consultant, author, qualified trainer and the Research Associate at the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies at the University of Warwick. Heather has worked as a marketer for a wide range of arts organisations: from the smallest of touring theatre companies to running the London end of the Royal Shakespeare Company's marketing operation and including both classical and contemporary dance. She worked on audience and art form development as head of two of England's audience development agencies. Heather has written eight books on arts marketing and was most recently commissioning editor of Navigating difference: cultural diversity and audience development and co-author of Greater than the sum of its parts: a joined up guide to working in groups, both published by Arts Council England. Her Marketing Manual has been translated into Mandarin Chinese and is widely used across Taiwan, Malaysia and China as well as in the UK. She is Director of the Theatrical Management Association's week long marketing courses in Wales, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland and has been a tutor at Druidstone for ten years (four as Director).

Rob Kinsman has worked for a variety of performing arts venues and companies, including the Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch; the Union Chapel; Junction CDC; Classworks Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre. He studied the Creative Writing MA at UEA, and works as a scriptwriter on the BBC1 series Doctors.
