Leadership is all about providing vision, inspiration and momentum - engaging people to achieve the goals of your organisation. This is exactly what good managers do. Successful organisations have managers who possess excellent leadership skills.

Many of us are promoted to a management/leadership position because we possess good technical skills. However, those technical skills become at best secondary and at worst redundant in this new role.
